Foot Fault
A fault caused by where your feet are, such as stepping on the baseline when you serve or volleying while standing in the kitchen.
A fault caused by the position of your feet. It happens when you serve and when you volley (Wikipedia). There are two main kinds:
- When you serve, stepping on the baseline or inside the court (7.A.2, 7.A.2.a), or stepping outside the imaginary extensions of the sideline or centerline (7.A.3, 7.A.3.a) (Where your feet go when serving)
- Volleying while you are standing on the non-volley zone (kitchen) or the non-volley zone line (kitchen line) (3.A.4.c, 11.A.1, No volleying in the kitchen)
